Making a Difference

A week or so ago, I was lucky enough to be engaged in a very interesting conversation with Tim Robbins at his theater “The Actor’s Gang.”  Tim had shared with me some specific reports of the protests involving the 99% that were going on in NYC , LA San Fran and abroad, and the kinda awaking and unity that was happening between the protestors and law enforcement: albeit often times after violence had already ensued .
I was very moved and uplifted to be able to converse with someone as knowledgeable as him, it made me very reminiscent of my Rutgers University days,  in my Political Science classes, especially with Stephen Bronner, where discourse was plentiful. I have been working emotionally and actively trying to figure out how I can make a difference, what can I do?
I took a life changing seminar “Sister Giant” led by Marianne Williamson, that had also further inspired and informed me and as soon as I took a breath, managed my life enough to let an opportunity in, it came asking me to come play with it. I am now a proud member of the non-profit The Lotus Light, at thelotuslight.org (I am the Editor-yay!).  At The Lotus Light, we are dedicated to protecting and empowering children from all races and walks of life around the world.
I am the official Editor for Lotus Light, and as the editor, I feel very honored to get to be responsible for the overall voice of Lotus Light, and being sure that our founder’s message is carried across the site, and that the message is received in full by our visitors and children who wish to participate.
I look forward to keeping you posted and I wanted to share with you that finally after all my writing, reading, debates, volunteering, etc I feel I get to play in a big way, and powerfully take a stand, toward making a difference around the world, and I so excited. Please share with me your stands, and how I can support you and help you get your message out.
